Brief introduction of Silver Chloride CAS 7783-90-6
Chemical name: Silver Chloride
CAS No.: 7783-90-6
Synonyms: Silver monochloride
Molecular Formula: AgCl
Molecuar Weight: 143.32
EINECS: 232-033-3
Properties of Silver Chloride CAS 7783-90-6
Silver Chloride is white powder appearance, easy to see light decomposition purple and gradually black. It is used on less sensitive photographic film, offset and adhesive paper. One of the most important applications of silver chloride in electrochemistry is the silver-silver chlorine-reference electrode. The electrodes are not polarized and therefore provide accurate data. As mercury is used less and less in the laboratory, the use of Ag/AgCl electrodes is increasing.
