2-pyrrolidone CAS 616-45-5 is a colorless liquid. It is a very good solvent and pharma intermediate. It can be mixed with water and any other organic solvents.

One important factor we should know about 2-pyrrolidone is about its appearance. Its solidifying poine 25.6℃. That is to say, 2-pyrrolidone is liquid form when temperature above 25.6℃. But it may crystalizes (solid) when temperature becomes lower than 25.6℃. But this is only in theroy. In reality, our experence tells us that the temperature range is 23-25° C (solidifying point).

Application
